THE 12th annual BuskFest is set to bring around 100 musical acts to the streets of Banbridge tomorrow, with an eclectic cacophony of entrants performing live and al fresco for the chance to win prizes.

The busking will take place between 1pm and 4.30pm in the town centre, followed by a concert in Solitude Park by local singer-songwriter Daniel Duke and band.

Irish News Cult Movies columnist and BBC Radio Ulster DJ Ralph McLean will be on hand to announce the winners of 'best individual', 'best band', 'best junior performer', 'best performance' and the 'Spirit of BuskFest' prize.

The overall BuskFest winner will also be given a prime slot at Sunflowerfest at Tubby’s Farm in Hillsborough, which this year will take place from July 31 to August 2, while the winners of the Best Band category will receive a cash prize and a slot at the Linenfields Festival at Lenaderg, Banbridge on Friday August 21.

Hopefuls can register online until 2pm today or tomorrow in person between 9.30am and 11.30am at the Old Town Hall, Scarva Street, Banbridge.
