HAVING recently released their 10th studio album Let’s Hear It For The Dogs, The Proclaimers hit the road this month for an extensive tour of Britain and Ireland.

Scotland's most famous musical Reid brothers (Jim and William may argue the toss over that one) Craig and Charlie are now celebrating 30 years as a chart-bothering duo – not bad for a band that some are still too quick to write off as a novelty act.

Not many novelty acts would have the gumption to pen a deceptively jaunty ditty like Never Again, a tune on the new album inspired by the the recent BBC-related paedophile revelations.

The new number What School should also strike a chord round these parts with its references to good old fashioned playground sectarianism.

Belfast fans can expect to hear these and other highlights from Let's Hear It For The Dogs along with old favourites like I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles), Letter From America and Sunshine on Leith.
