A CO TYRONE man accused of assaulting loyalist campaigner Willie Frazer has been taken to hospital after falling down stairs in a courtroom. Frank McGirr (60) is charged with assault and making threats to kill Mr Frazer. The defendant, who uses a walking stick, fell down a flight of stairs in Armagh magistrates court after being released on continuing bail and an ambulance was called. Mr Frazer was allegedly attacked outside his Co Armagh home last month.

STORMONT has been accused of spending £400,000 on a "road to nowhere" by upgrading a route to a police training college that may never be built. The work is to improve a section of the A29 between Dungannon and Cookstown in Co Tyrone.
