CAMPAIGNING US Jesuit Fr Daniel Berrigan, who has died at the age of 94, was a "committed pacifist", Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams has said. Fr Berrigan, whose father was a second-generation Irish Catholic, was imprisoned in 1969 for burning draft files in a protest against the Vietnam war. He visited the north in 1980.
