Carr wary of strong student challenge

Tough one: Down manager Ross Carr knows that his side’s first opponents in the Dr McKenna Cup, St Mary’s, will be at full fitness after a winter of activity

ROSS Carr suspects the game's students may be holding a few more aces than before and Down's manager wouldn't be surprised were Sigerson champions UUJ, Aidan O'Rourke's Queen's University or Sunday's first game rivals St Mary's to deliver a turn up for the books in the Gaelic Life Dr McKenna Cup.
