Tycoon bids for ‘oldest paper’

A publicity-shy Sri Lankan billionaire could soon own the Belfast News Letter. Ananda Krishnan (63) who has amassed a £4 billion fortune from property, gaming and oil-trading, moved closer yesterday to acquiring outright ownership of the newspaper's parent company.
