Cash injection: Some believe that the Bank of England’s provision of a £50 billion credit facility for UK banks to help kickstart the stalled lending market was nowhere near enough. A figure closer to £200 billion, so the thinking goes, is needed to get the economy going and unblock the flow of money which lubricates the economy

I got a bit of a shock last week. I'd just got off a flight when I got a call to tell me that a friend and colleague from the PR industry had just had a minor heart attack.
This friend is only a couple of years older than me; he doesn't smoke and is in reasonable shape.
